HV20 + Adobe OnLocation (won't recognize)
I was wondering if anyone has figured out how to get OnLocation to recognize the HV20 when in HDV or HDV (PF24) modes? I can only get OnLocation to recognize it when it's in DV mode.

It fully supports my HVX200 in DVCPRO-HD 1080i and 720P modes. So it does support HD.

Ah damn! Well, at least I'm not the only one who can't get it to recognize. I hope there's an easy fix or patch for this.

I hear rumor that the trial doesn't work with HDV but that the full version does. Can anyone confirm this? I'll be getting the full version in a few weeks and can report on it then.

I have the full version of OnLocation CS3 and my HV20 works in both HDV and in DV modes.
When I switch between modes I have to select another device. The Devices menu shows two HV20 devices, one of which is grayed. When I select the active HV20 device it works fine. - Rick |

Its not just the trial version of on location that wont support HD video....
All of the trial versions that Adobe has will not support HD video... Adobe told everyone on the Beta forums this but I guess they have not told anyone downloading the non Beta versions..... Adobe claims this is due to some license issues with the codec folks that supply some of the HD presets..... it probably keeps the folks that like to use fake SN's from downloading a full version of software for free too...... |
