HV20 and Color Tempature
Is it me, or is the HV20 highly sensitive to color temperature changes? I've been shooting outdoors with the HV20, and the sensitivity to color temperature seems EXTREMELY high (if that makes sense.) Seems like you REALLY have to watch the white balance on this camera.

Setting the White Balance manually should alleviate that.

I wasn't too fond of the AWB results at first, and took this totally unscientific approach: fixed it at the clouded setting, except for indoors with artificial lighting, where I set it for AWB. Suits me fine most of the time.
While i'm at it: anyone has any idea which of the WB settings comes closest to transferring the RGB values from the CMOS to MPEG without color correcting? |
