TL-H43 telephoto zoom

so i finally got my filter adapter clamp, and finally got some pics of it.

it's works very nicely.

I haven't compared my Canon wide & tele but it looks like they both have about a 74mm outer diameter. I might purchase this adaptor to use with either one. I think my cinetactics matteblox would still clamp on this add on clamp too if I needed to.

I'm new to adding lenses and was quite taken back by the fact that you can only use half of the zoom range. Is this typical with tele lenses to only got to use part of the zoom range? I can zoom fully through my Canon wide angle with no problem. I just figured if Canon designed the tele lens it would have worked throughout the zoom range.
