Canon DM-50 Reviews Wanted at DVinfo.net

I am looking at the Canon DM-50 and would love to get some user reviews. I have heard that it picks up handling noise but does not pick up motor hum. Comments?

The DM-50 has been around for years and has been heavily discussed on this site many, many times in our Canon Optura, Canon GL2, and Canon XL2 forums as well as this one. A simple search such readily reveal numerous topics involving the DM-50. Hope this helps,

I've heard from more than one that it does pick up motor noise.
I can't confirm since I don't have one but I wouldn't be surprised since the shoe is hard plastic I believe.
