hv10 backlight tip
i didn't know there was LED backlight in front of hv10.
when u are recording PRESS >> Forward than LED light will be ON even i truned on the LED light the battery consumption is same...i can record for 1 hour. i hope this helps... it really dose help in lowlight |

I don't think that is technically a "backlight" as you say. It is actually a front light. I find it mostly useless as the LED emits such a blue tone that it clashes with most indoor lighting I have used it with.
The back light feature is actually a setting that tells the camera that you are shooting a subject that has a lot of bright light behind it. Normally the camera compensates to expose for the bright background and your subject is underexposed. The backlight feature seems to ignore the background and expose more for the foreground thus increasing you chances of properly exposing your subject. In these situations you can usually kiss and background detail bye-bye as it is going to be gone in the overexposed area. |

yes
yes..i would definitely not recommend use the LED for portrait..
it's very annoying..but when you are in complete dark place...LED dose help. |

better than nothing if you need it. However you cannot use it with the Wide adapter, since this attachment blocks the light. I taped a small piece of CTO on the thing to warm it up some.
