a dar line from top to bottom on all the footage I shot with my HV20

I've been using my HV20 for almost a month and it has been flawless.

When I videotaped a live conference last night, there was this black line, running from the top to the bottoms, on the left side of the screen. (near the left 1/3 of the scree) It's a thin dark line.

At first, I thoguth it was a bad tape... but I hooked up my
HV20 directly via HDMI to my Sony 52XBR2 LCD monitor.
It was still there. I tried a couple of other HD monitors,
and they all showed the same thing.

I'm sure I'm still withign the return period, since I bought
mine from Costco.... I'm planning to take it to my local
Costco and get a refund. Should i order it from a different
source just so I can get another HV20 from a different
batch?

Thanks!

Nice thing about Costco is they stand behind their stuff indefinitely. I would just exchange it there..

Can you post a frame/still from your footage so we can see what you're talking about?

Yes, that would help.

Costco changed their return policy this month:

http://www.costco.com/Service/Featur...uctNo=11204333

" Merchandise: We guarantee your satisfaction on every product we sell with a full refund. Exceptions: Televisions, projectors, computers, cameras, camcorders, iPOD / MP3 players and cellular phones must be returned within 90 days of purchase for a refund."
