HV 20 - what deck to use?
I'm getting the HV 20 and I use FCP. Can anyone advise on what deck I can use to capture 24P and HD footage into FCP? Or do I have to use the camera as deck?
Thanks in advance. |

Use the camcorder as a deck. It outputs Firewire.

Second that, and remember, the camera is probably cheaper than any deck.

I don't think that there is a deck to use. That's why the owners of the other Canon HDV cameras are buying the HV10 and HV20's to use as decks. I use the HV20 as it is top loading.
In other words, you have the least expensive deck you can get. Mike

Thanks to all for your advice - maybe I'll get the HV10 as a deck and use the HV20 for shooting then.
