max memory (mini SD)?
The manual says up to 1GB. Has anyone tried a larger mini SD card?
Just bought my HV10 today. Yeehaa Scott |

Congratulations on your excellent decision. Prepare to be amazed!
The 1Gb limit is just standard Canon "boilerplate" blurb from yesteryear when this kind of capacity was mindblowing. I'm using a really cheapo 2Gb card which is currently on sale in the UK for the princely sum of GBP8.25. I'm sure even 4Gb cards will work but perhaps not if they are in the newer SDHC format, I suspect. You could fit quite a few minutes of video on these larger cards but you'll notice Canon has chosen to include the facility to use those common 60 minute DV tapes instead ;-)))) |

Cool. 2GB sounds good. 4 sounds better, for those week-long backpacking trips...
From the manual it looks like I can only record stills and a series of up to 60 stills at 5fps to the SD card...no video. Is that correct? Scott |

I'd try it first in the store, maybe product revisions differ. My GPS device was - let's say - reluctant.
