Any free .m2t codecs to play raw footage with Media Player?
What codec do I need to play the raw footage thru Windows Media Player?
VLC works fine, but I would like the option to use Media Player. Is there a free codec that allows WMP to play m2t files? Thanks. |

Yes, I use Media Player Classic most of the time, too.
But: VLC player has the advantage to deinterlace on the fly and I don't know any other player that can do this.

I use the Open Source MPEG decoder from here:
http://sourceforge.net/project/showf...kage_id=170669 It works fine for .M2T files, and lets you choose the deinterlacing mode. I use "Bob" deinterlacing to playback at 60fps, looks nice. Note: I have only been able to get successful playback of M2T files using the MainConcept MPEG splitter, that comes with Vegas 6.0 (not 7.0) and After Effects 6.5. |
