Low light HV20 footage

This is some stuff ive shot over the past three weeks..
The first is low light/indoor. My settings were kind of off on the camera, i should of been letting in more light.

The second EYE shot was outside.

Not bad, would like to see more examples of low/normal indoor lighting footage to get more of a feel for HV20's capabilities..

Nice work Joe! You've done a brilliant job with the editing. Love the strobe style edits. What editing software are you using? The fast shutter speed works well too.

If anything, I think a few levels adjustments would make a huge difference to the overall look. Bring out more of the colours. I normally use a histogram for checking how much adjustment needs to be made.

Vegas 7.0e

I did some slight saturation boosting but that's really it..

These are just practice vids, stuff I go and film, edit, and work on improving each time :)

Cool, I figured it must have been Vegas due to the edits with the pans and crops.

Some footage with HV20 and Brevis

Here is a link to footage for short I'm working on at the moment. Shot with HV20, Brevis, and 28mm/50mm canon FD lens. Most of the shots are done in the evening with little to no lighting.

Im still learning a lot, but its coming together!

Looks quite nice. The hand held movement appears quite natural too.

Canon HV20 Sample Video at the Park

Here's my first quick test video I shot in 24p. didn't do a pull down to extract the 24p. I need to get Cineform to do that but I shot it in 24p so I could do it later. Edited it in PP2 and then exported in same aspect ratio as a compressed .wmv and uploaded to youtube. I'll try to get the higher res version up on the web so people can look at it. Even compressed on youtube it doesn't look too bad.

Great work! You'll be using the HV20 again I'd assume?

HV20 Circus footage.

Well, not really a circus...

This was filmed on Alberta St in Portland, Oregon.
BOTH files are the same. One big one small. The smaller one has some artifacts and losses some richness in color due to low bit rate.
BIG - 111mb 1280 x 720 http://blip.tv/file/get/Road82-ablertaStBIG565.wmv
SMALL - 15.7mb 800x450 http://blip.tv/file/get/Road82-AlbertaSt666.wmv

The Accordion player is part of www.autopilotisforlovers.com
The circus people can be found at www.cirkuspandemonium.net
This was all filmed on Alberta St except for the two birds. They were hanging out under the Fremont bridge.
And the PGE park van was filmed downtown.

I dont know those people. Well, i do now that i filmed them. Didnt mean to make this into an advertisment of sorts.

Shot in Standard High Def. Shutter priority more 100fps? On a monopod mostly and i believe i had a "shade" setting.
