Accessories for HV10?
Does the HV10 do an in-camera battery charge? Or does the included power adaptor include a charger? Canon's newest website format seems to have no specific information on accessories. From dealer websites, a BP-315 Canon battery, with 1,520 ma capacity is listed as being compatible with the HV10. A smaller battery is included with the camcorder. I'd be wary of dealers that offer "replacement" batteries, as they may be Brand-X types that are of poor quality. Canon lists a 1.5X telextender lens for the HV10, for $160. I expect the Sony 2X HD-quality telex, with a 37mm mounting thread, would also be usable. Hopefully, we can exchange information about the quality and suitability of such accessories over the next few months.

Sometimes mounting threads are shorter or deeper from other manufactorers.
ALSO......some of the newer "knock-off" batteries work excellent with even more power than the enclosed batteries. I will have to guess that the camera will be utilized as a charger as many of the small cameras do not enclose a battery charger. LOU BRUNO

Yup, it looks like the HV10 has an in-camera charger. See the "What's in the box?" page, there is no separate battery charger.

From Canon's website:
CA-570 Compact Power Adapter This is the standard charger and power source for the Optura Xi. It will charge one battery at a time. It connects directly to the camcorder's body and the battery can be charged while the CA-570 is attached. This means you don't need to take a charger with you on a trip.
