Not out to just bash on Canon, but sure seems like a really neglected segment of the lineup; I’m really interested in a replacement for my HF S20 if there was something reasonably affordable.

Look at the dates of past product announcements. That may give some indication of potential dates if you find a pattern. Some would say it is often good to make a consumer product announcement in time for seasonal buying in the late fall - at least for folks who have some coin to spend..

They are sure going for attractive prices as refurbs currently (HF G10), but I’m curious if they have some bigger sensor prosumers on the way soon…..
