Patriot LX 32GB with Canon HF S20
It's a 'Class 10' card at a pretty reasonable price - will it work?

Re: Patriot LX 32GB with Canon HF S20
Not familiar with. I would google the heck out of it, and also look at B&H website's reviews of the card, as well as Amazon's.
Transcend is very popular also, but they get mixed reviews depending on where you look. I use SanDisk cards. They are most popular among pros, from what I've read at Photo.net, and other places. I am a wedding shooter and absolutely cannot afford to have a bad card or take any chances, which is why I spend the extra, it makes me feel better. Not a place to save money, at least not for me. I have seen bad things said about them all, including SanDisk, but overall they seem to be the best for the money. The next higher priced brand, I forget who makes them, are VERY expensive. I have one SanDisk 32GB card that cost me $200, I"m that paranoid. I have others that cost less as well, but I go with the fastest and most expensive I can afford. There are those that see SanDisk as overpriced, and they may be. On the other hand, I talk to clients on occasion who think when I try to push a mulitcamera package over a single camera package for their benefit that I'm trying to just take them for more money. I feel confident that quality control at SanDisc is among the highest level out there, and probably increases more so with the higher end cards. It's just my belief. Most businesses try and take care of their higher end clientele, and I doubt that SanDisk is any different.
