MTS file gaps?
Has anyone tried to use one of these Vixia AVCHD cameras as a 2nd camera in a live event?
I'm having trouble syncing the series of MTS files with the continuous file from my main camera. Basically every place there's a gap in the MTS files I seem to get a few frames out of sync. Should I try to copy -appened the files into one long file like we do with the Firestore? The problem I'm running into is that because of logistics (and a missing 2nd camera man), I was forced to use my 2nd camera (Vixia HFS11) as my connection to the sound board. So now there's a gap in the sound if I go ahead and re-sync each MTS file. Thanks! |

Re: MTS file gaps?
use this free program here: MTS File Joiner
Make sure your files are named in order and the program will join them perfectly (no frames dropped or gaps) into one long new MTS file with no recompression or loss of quality, it does it in a just a few seconds too. I use it all the time to join long interview clips from my Vixia HF S21. |

Re: MTS file gaps?
Wow, that really did the trick. Synced up the two videos on a camera flash at the beginning. Confirmed sync through the rest of the timeline on other camera flashes.
Many thanks! Jeremiah |
