To Cine Or Not To Cine - That Is The Question

With apologies to Shakespeare, I was wondering if you guys could help me understand some technical intricacies with doing a film out of HV40 footage to 35mm...

I know that, obviously the footage would need to be shot in 24fps, but I'm wondering if it would be a better option to use the cine-mode, stay away from it or if it doesn't really matter for the transfer, just use whichever gives the preferable colors?

The material may very well not end up transferred to 35mm, but on the off chance it does go that route, I'd really like to shoot in the manner most friendly to the process.

Any advice at all is greatly appreciated.

Thanks in advance.

Cheers,
