Repair for an Legria HFS11
Had my HFS11 out as a B camera today but some careless oaf managed to knock the tripod it was on flying. At first inspection it appeared OK apart from some scratches but on taking the base plate off the bottom is a mess.
Naturally this will be a call to the insurance company in the morning (otherwise what am I paying all that money for every year), but anyone had this happen? Did you get it repaired? The bottom is now deformed and there's one screw missing and some others have clearly moved. Luckily the camera soldiered on through the gig but I'm now not the happiest bunny around. The only blessing was they didn't knock over my EX1 which was nearby! Just proves even if you put a camera in a corner out of what you think is harms way, someone, somewhere, will manage to cause some harm!
