Extension mount for SVM on HV40
Hi,
I need to get my Stereo Videomic further away from my HV40 as the dead kitten is in the way of the lens. I found these two links with possible solutions by searching this forum but am unsure what's best and whether anyone else has any ideas / experience: http://www.veachco.com/j120mhBW.jpg and (scroll down a bit for photos - I like this the best I think): http://www.dvinfo.net/forum/canon-vi...-mic-hv20.html And link to product for above: L Flash Bracket Any thoughts? How about this? I've used it a ton of times with the Rode VM and fur screen. Gets it nice and high up and off to the side and there is still room for a light on the camera. |

Thanks Stan that looks good. Excuse the ignorance but how does it attach to the bottom of the camera - presumably not via the tripod screw as that would rule out the use of the tripod!

Oh, and isn't it in the way of the LCD screen?

It does use the tripod screw but it has the same size screw on the bottom so you can still attach it to a tripod. I use it turned to the right side and hold the handle.
