HV 40 telephoto lens

I am considering buying an hv40 and the 10x zoom would not be enough to float my boat. Can someone let me know of a telephoto lens that would work well on the cam? Also, what about a shotgun mic and a mount? Thanks for the help.....Maybe a link to BH would help?

You might look at the Canon TL-H43 telephoto adapter (as well as the WDH43 wide angle adapter) and the Sennheiser MKE400 microphone, which is perfectly sized for the HV series cameras and works nicely as well.
The wide angle adapter (imho more useful) is fully zoom-thru. The tele adapter, as with most/many such, picks up where your built-in zoom leaves off, but will vignette if you try to zoom out wider than that point.
