Turning HV20 30/40 into XLH1

For those with a tight budget - I just wonder if it could work: if one could disassemble HV20 (or 30/40) and remove original lens (glass only) and use an original 43mm thread of HV20 to put some DIY mount/adapter allowing to mount telephoto lens (from still photography).

Just imagine: an interchangeable, high quality lenses on your HDV cam! With very shallow DOF (without any 35mm DOF adapter and flip problems). And you would simply have almost XLH1 for the fraction of its price! What we only need to know is a HV20 "focal distance" - a distance from the end of 43mm thread to the surface of its sensor. Any comments or advice..?
