Discernable Resolution/quality Difference btw HF S10/100 and HF20/200?
Hi there,
I have a Vixia HF200. I love it. Great qualilty. So I'm looking at some flyers and saw that the next model up, the top model is the HF S10/100 and it has a larger CCD with more resolution. HF200 1/4" CMOS for 2.99 Megapixels (3.89 total megapixels) HF S10/100 1/2.6" CMOS for 6.01 Megapixels (8.59 total megapixels) Wow, that is significant. I try to shoot as high quality as possible in case I want to release stuff in HD in the future (most of my stuff is youtubed and my HD monitors love the HF200 thus far....except for the gain from low light situations). How much better can you see the difference with the HF S10/100? Is it worth upgrading for any reason? And I assume that recording at the higher megapixel of the HF S10/100 means that the image is cleaner/sharper, clearer, but does it raise the file size/lower the SDHC card recording capacity? I shouldn't as it's still within the 1920x1080 frame, right? I assume that the HF S10/100 would have better low light and less grain..... perhaps do better in 24p or Cine mode. Any thoughts or advice? |
