HG10 footage slowed down glitches
I bought three HG10 cams for my media arts class to delve into HD. For the most part we've been happy, but there is one big issue I'm seeing. Perhaps someone can help?
A student shot slow panning shots in 24p and slowed them down between 50% - 25% in Final Cut Pro 6 (I know, he should have used 60i for slow mo....). It plays back fine in the timeline, but no matter how we try to export it, the slow motion stuff glitches. What are the ideal export settings to curb this issue? Thanks! |

Found the best possible solution to this problem. In the Sequence settings, FCP had default selected Field Dominance as "Lower." We changed it to "None" and exported with very minimal glitching. Next time, I'll be sure to send them out with 60i enabled.
