wide angle lens
Hi to the forum. This is my first post. I live in Australia. I would like to make a travel log of a fast up coming trip to Southern India.
I have had little video making experience, a couple of home movies and a lot of footage of holidays shot on an early sonyDVCAM Pd1p. It broke down last year whilst motorcyling in the Indian Himalayas. I only have stills of the best part of that trip. :( I have gone solid state. :) I want to get a wide angle lens for my hfs10. I had an AMBICO wide and Tele converter set so tried it with an adapter ring 58 to 52. the result was a ring around the picture at wide open. The question I have is weather a canon WC-DC58A .7x lens screwed on will fit and focus? any helpful advise is very welcome. Regards ED |

The Canon 58a isn't very wide, but it does indeed work.

I just bought a Raynox .66 (compared to .75 on the canon). The glass is great quality. Much wider angle without too much distortion. Cheaper than the canon as well.
