BP-827 battery - found one

I've been looking everywhere for the genuine Canon BP-827 battery. No one had it. Even Canon has them on back order. Anyway, I found a store that still had a few. Electronics Expo. They have a very good reseller rating so I called and they had 2-3 in their outer stores. I should get mine next week sometime. I talked with Jason.

Oh I am also selling these new BP-827 batteries.

L.A. Color Shop | BP-827LED Canon Compatible Battery+Charger Kit

Regular third party batteries will not be charged within the camera. Also, the camera will not report how much power left as shown on the LCD screen before. However, this new one I have has 4 LED lights on the outside of the battery that you can press to check the remaining battery level.

It also has a DC-in jack on the side of the battery. You can plug in your VIXIA AC adapter to the battery to charge it without using the charger. So it's quite flexible.

The fact that it doesn't report power left was the only beef I've heard from people on the third party batteries. Anyway, I already ordered mine.

On second thought don't call Electronics Expo. They were supposed to ship it Friday. I've heard nothing from them. I'm starting to think they don't really have one.

I may be buying your LED battery after all.

You can get a even better one(3100mAH) and cheaper here, http://www.shopxtreme.com/product_in...oducts_id=1619

I have basically the same battery except its the 2400mAH for my HG21, excellent battery at a low price, each time you power on your canon camcorder it will tell you the battery is not recognized as a canon brand and will ask if you wish to continue anyway...no big deal to me considering the money you save...my 2400 will record continuously non stop for 1hr 20 minutes, compared to 40 minutes with the battery that comes with the camcorder ....The fact that it uses your existing camcorder charger was a big selling point for me as well as the great price....

Shipping to Nevada

Taky,

I live in the Philippines. However, I have someone in Nevada who will be coming home by next month. I'd like to order that generic BP-827 with the charger. I'll order it here with my card. Can you have that sent to Nevada?

TIA!

Yes of course I can do that. If paypal insist charging international shipping, go with it, then I will refund the difference.

Got the batteries!

Taky,

My friend from Nevada couldn't get it for me as she had a change of plans and left early. Couldn't gamble waiting for the batts. I had another friend from NJ ordered from your site and she emailed me last night and said the batteries and charger just arrived. Too bad we couldn't test it as she has no camera. Just hoping it's good and no problems. It will still take some time for me to get the batts as the person carrying it will leave still by next month.
