Diff between HV30/HV40
Hi
I just don't get it. I live in PAL country and trying to find out the difference between HV30 and HV40. As I understand HV40 is a true 25p camcorder, but isn't that also true for the HV30 (and HV20)? The price difference between the two camcorders is about $300 here in sweden and as I can see i get a configurable button on the camcorder and I dont find that option worth the price. Regards, /Bo |

There is a price difference only while the older HV30 is in stock. HV30s are discounted for the purpose of clearing out remaining inventory. Once all of the HV30s are gone, the HV40 price will eventually come down as well, and at some point the HV40 will cost the same as the HV30 does now. The HV40 is introduced at the same price as the HV30 was when it was new, so there is no real difference in price other than whatever discount applies to the older model in order to move it off the shelves. Any price at or below MSRP is a good price. Hope this helps,

Hi
OK, that explains the price difference. Do you also have an explanation for the difference in functionality between the models, apart from the configurable button. :-) Or is it only 24P in NTSC countries that differs? Regards, /Bo |
