Cheap batteries in the UK?
I've done searches on Amazon and eBay and it's a minefield - there's so many crooks out there! And that's just the obvious ones. And even if someone seems genuine, how do you know if the batteries are any good...?
Anyway, can anyone here from the UK recommend a cheap brand or supplier? Cheers!

Karel, I bought two last year from Taky Cheung on this list. I don't know if he still has any left but they were pretty cheap even after having them sent across the pond. Im not sure if they have quite got the full capacity of the biggest Canon ones, but they were much cheaper. Mine have been in regular use with HV30s and have been absolutely fine.

Cheers Colin.
I'll hold off mailing him for a week to see if anyone comes up with something over here. Odds are they're made in China or such-like, so it seems a bit daft to get them mailed from the US. But if that's want it takes. Would be good though to establish a regular supplier over here for us UK folk. Is it cold in Glasgow? You must be laughing at us down here! EDIT: I think I've found a source: CANON BP-2L14 Camcorder Battery Last edited by Karel Bata; February 7th, 2009 at 05:11 AM. |

Not exactly shorts and tee shirt weather, but we haven't had anything like the snowfall others have had.
By the way, whereabouts are you located? You didn't get added to the dreaded dvinfoBrits list because of the "Antarctica." Good premonition though. |
