Is there a LANC substitute for HV 20?

I am considering putting my HV 20 up on a boom for some overhead shots. Is there a LANC substitute that will allow me to focus, zoom and record remotely....or must I rely on the handheld remote?

The problem I'm facing is that I won't always be able to aim the remote at the sensor, so some form of wired option would be better.

Thanks

Thanks. I saw that awhile back but it looks a little clumsy for what I had in mind.

Oh well..........there's only so much the Canon folks can pack into the small cameras.

Look again at Darrin's post -- I edited it to replace his off-site link with three much better links that are right here on DV Info Net (always, always, always use this site as your first reference -- I'll usually replace offsite links with DVi links because, let's face it, DVi is always better). Hope this helps,
