HV 20 with 24p Don't see a difference
After having my HV 20 for more than a year, I finally set it to Cine Mode and 24p to test out those functions. I brought it into Final Cut Studio using Compressor and reverse telecine etc.
I'm not sure I see what the fuss is about 24p. The footage looks a little more "soft" than what I'm used to seeing in standard HD. I can't discern a frame rate change or anything like that. What should I be seeing (or looking for) that makes 24p so different from standard HD? Is there a way to compare after I've already shot in Cine mode/24 or would I have to shoot two scenes, one in Cine/24 and one in regular HD to see the difference? Thanks |

Take a look at some 60i footage versus 24p footage in Windows Media Player - 24p should look almost like a still photo, but the 60i will be full of interlace lines.
