David, following up on the difference in saving to a 1440x1080 vs 1920x1080 with the HV20/HV30, after much reluctance it has become apparent to me that both resolutions are beyond the threshold needed to capture the detail capability of the HV20 (600 to 650 lines horizontal and vertical) as you had pointed out. For anyone interested in achieving more scrutinizing results, there is no doubt that their efforts would be much better served with more capable cameras.

Nice post
Nice thread - but sad for me. I tested NeoHDv and ended up buying NeoHD. However, now I do not get realtime playback and it turns out that it is dropping frames.. a 2 Ghz C2D seems to be fine for 1440x1080 but it looks like 1920x1080 needs a faster processor :-(
And now I realize I do not even gain resolution. |
