Shutter Speed for PF24 - HV20

This may be a dumb question...

Should you shoot at a shutter speed of 24 when shooting in PF24 mode? Or are those thing totally independent and it doesn't matter?

I like to shoot 1/48, that's more of a "standard" 24p shutter, but depending on the content it varies, I shoot a lot of 24p stuff at 1/100 to capture crisper frames. In the end its just personal preference
