How can I do fast pans?
Hi
If I use cinemode I cannot pan very fast. Should I use Tv mode instead? How fast can I pan? If I shoot most of the footage in cinemode, how will it cut with the Tv footage? Thanks |

You need to slow down your pan until the judder is barely obvious. That's something people who shoot with film have to do all the time. If you must pan, make sure you pan so fast that the background will be a blur, hiding the judder.
The true solution is to shoot in interlaced mode if you won't be releasing your video or movie in film. Cinemode has different color characteristics. if you shoot in 24p with normal color, inter-cutting shouldn't be too hard. But I personally would choose one format and stick with it. I.e. 60i (or 50i in PAL land). |
