HV20 Down to $750 at B&H

B&H has the HV20 for $750 - this also includes a $75 B&H gift certificate.

Just an outstanding deal!

Now to convince my wife...

I paid $1000+ for my HV20. (of course that was the
same week that B&H received the very first bach of
HV20s) $750 is definitely a very good deal! I wonder
if this means a replacement for HV20 is coming soon?

Just tell her how much a Sony FX-1 cost when it was first introduced!

You now get a HD cam with 24p for a fraction of that-- good times.

Hey Alan,

I just made this purchase last night. They are offering free overnight shipping. And it did take some wife convincing.

Now all I need is a nice wide angle lens.

Good luck on your purchase,
James

P.S. I have been looking at purchasing a used HC1 on ebay and I had forgot that I had kept mentioning the over $1000 price to her. I guess that made the $750 out the door price a little easier to swallow.

Are you thinking about getting the Merkury Wide angle?

I wonder can I use the gift card right away, when buying the HV20? Do I have to wait for the card, then use its number when I buy something else? This is so much hassle.

Yeah, do you have any experience with it?

lol, I was wondering the same thing!
No, I heard some people say it was good at about 50% of the zoom, but starts to get soft around the edges the closer you get, but I am not sure. Maybe someone here that has one can pitch in their comments.

Just a friendly reminder to our newer members.... we encourage everyone to buy from our sponsors because they make this site possible and have been screened to be the best of the best. We understand there are a lot of places to buy cameras, but at DVinfo we limit vendor discussion to our sponsors.

Thanks for your understanding.

I did indeed make my purchase from B&H. Should I have linked through this website so that B&H would know who's referring me?

Boyd isn't referring to you, James, but to somebody else whose post has been withdrawn from public view.
