HV20 settings to match xh-a1 Vivid RGB
I just got my HV20 as a deck for my XH-A1s and thought it would be nice to be able to use as a backup camera/insert shot camera. I use the Vivid RBG preset primarily and was wondering if anyone had some tips on how to mimic that in the HV20

well I would also eb interested in finding this out.
I have read that the best match for these two cameras are cp8 on the A1 + cinemode and neutral on the HV20 I have notice a little more of both saturation and contrast in the hv20 on these settings and the A1's footage is a little flat. Leaving the HV20 in those settings, the vivid rgb is too punchy for a match. I have recently dropped the vivid rgb back to 15 on sat instead of 25 and personally I find it suits peoples skintones a lot better and is close to the saturation of of the hv20. I pushed the brightness of the hv20 +1 Maybe Im as far out as a lighthouse because I havent shot a job with these settings yet. Ill know more soon. If anyone can improve on what I am suggesting here it would be appreciated. |

I typically shoot at 30f because most of my deliverables are standard def DVDs. Cinemode on the hv20 is 24fps isn't it?
