Remote Control Tripod for HV20?

I'm about to order an HV-20 with a set of supplies and accessories, and am wondering if there is a decent light tripod with controls that will work with the HV-20... I had such a setup with my last (Sony) camcorder, and I like being able to start/stop and zoom using a control on the tripod handle. Can't find anything of the sort on the Canon site.

Thanks in advance...

Jim - the short answer is, there is no LANC control on the HV20. So you can't use a wired zoom/focus controller, other than a homemade something like Nacho linked to.

I had been hoping there might be a way through the hotshoe, but The TOSlink cable idea is brilliant...

Thanks...
