HV20 Merlin setting with wide angle lens?
Anybody have a cookbook setting for the HV20 with the HD-43 attached that they'd be willing to share?

My expeience is to keep everything the same, just open the arc of the Merlin up wider than you had it (I went from 10.5 to pretty much wide open), then change position on the stage (I went from +2 to -2).
This seemed to work best for me, but I did not have your exact lens, so I do not know if this will work for you. If your lens is heavy you may havve to add a weight on the bottom, but I have found that though this is easy in terms of thinking you have it balanced, you introduce unwanted wobble. I find it best to keep the weights the same and play with the above mentioned settings. Sam DeWitt |
