GL2 Wide Angle & HV20
Hi, I thought I'd run this by everybody before I throw more money away. I read (in a past post) that some one was using a wide angle lens from a GL2 (58mm) with the HV20, and it worked great. Also, being a bigger lens eliminated a lot of the soft edge, and distortion problems. I have located step up rings, 43mm-52mm, and 52mm-58mm, and a 58mm wide angle lens adapter for the GL2 all for around $60 (Ebay stuff of course). A fair enough price for an experiment. B&H has a 43mm - 58mm for $25.
Anyway, does this sound like a practical thing to try, or am I just throwing away 60 bucks? Even better, has any body tried this? Thanks Steve Boutin |

You're not throwing your money away, since the adapter and the step up rings tend to hold their value. I think you should try it and please be sure to give us a full report. If it doesn't work out, you can always get your money back by selling those components.

Yeah, I think I will. Is there any advantage to using the single 43-58mm step-up over the two (43-52, 52-58) rings?
