Optura 400/500 discontinued ...
The Optura 400/500 have been retired from the Canon USA website line up, so that puts the Optura 50/60 in the batter's box, with the Optura 60 at 7 resellers down from 20 resellers on pricegrabber.com 2 weeks ago.
Yup camcorder watching, it's just like watching baseball. Now I just hope someone hits a home run.

Did anyone else notice the generic camcorder FAQ on the site? Here's one of the entries:
"What is required to download high definition video from my HDV Camcorder to my computer running OS X?" Now I don't see any SDI or Genlock FAQ items there, so I don't think they're talking about the XLH1... Alright, borderline Area 51, so I'll leave that alone. You know, I promised myself that the Optura 30 was my last SD camcorder, but the Optura 50 is priced SO LOW and I really want manual audio and OIS... patience, patience. www.philipwilliams.com |
