Built-in ND filter
I have a wide-angle lens that I'll be using with the Optura 60. Can I use the built-in ND filter with this lens, or do I need to purchase an ND that fits in front of the wide-angle?
I'm trying to figure out what effect the order of filters/lenses has, if any. |

The internal ND filter will work with any wide angle lens. You can use it at the same time with an external filter for more control of the light.
Re: filter/lens order Stacking external filters increases your chances of having image problems. You may experience issues with vignetting, flaring, or zoom thru, depending on your setup. You'll have to experiment to see what works best. It's usually better to mount filters on the outside of your wide angle lens, though I've had good success sandwiching filters - one at a time - between the WA lens and camcorder. |
