Help!! unidentifed flashing red icon/ Optura 300
Okay just got my Optura 300 and I ahve a flashing red Icon on the LCD screen
the Icon is directly below the battery Icon and it looks like the shape of the USB port with a + on top and a red slash through it. So what does this mean?? Is there a directory of the LCD icons for this camcorder?? I searched the Canon website, Google, and the manual and I can not figure out what this flashing Icon means. It appears to be a different icon that the icon for the missing cf card and dv tape. If any one can help me I would appreciate it. Thanks |

While I don't have the Optura 300, I believe that flashing red icon that looks like a mini-USB port with a plus sign above it is the "battery backup" icon. You need to change the internal battery (or add on if you didn't install it to begin with). The internal battery looks like a watch battery and should have come with your camcorder.

That's exactly what it is -- the backup battery. See the owner's manual for details.
