I got my XM2 yesterday! and a stupid question

Hi all, I finally bought an XM-2 yesterday. I had to wait for my salary because my mother wouldn't allow me to use my savings money. Anyway, I spent these two days drooling over it and trying it, but I have a question: when I turn it on (camera/tape setting) there is a red icon blinking on the screen (viewfinder and lcd). I couldn't find it in the manual. I've charged the battery and set the clock and date and there is a dv tape loaded.
What could this icon mean ?

Did your XM2 come with a small watch battery, if so the icon could be trying to tell you to put it in the camera, or that the one in the camera is flat and needs to be replaced.

Ahhhh yes. I was wondering about that little battery! I didn't know where to put it so I forgot about it, but now I found out where it goes. Thanks!

SOmetimes the answer is right in front of your nose, or eye as the cass may be. Just like checking your printer is plugged in before calling the IT department.

Glad I could help, happy shooting
