pixels on vcr mode
Good evening,
Well, I am having an amazing week of various disasters. My gl2 on vcr mode shows pixel rectangles on a few positions on the screen. When I play them through my other camera there are no pixels showing on the wide screen. I put in a tape from my xl2 and it will show pixels through the gl2. what I do not get is that I can record with the gl2 and play them on the other camera and they are fine. At least I can film!!! Time to get a vtr??? Yes, I cleaned the heads

Sounds like you might need a head cleaning, but if you ran a cleaning tape (try it twice) to no effect ...
Do older tapes shot on the GL2 play OK?

Dale,
Did you ever find out what the solution to your problem was? I'm having the same problem. Recorded on XL2 Playback on GL2 shows blocked pixels on the right side about five per minute. Michael |

Michael,
Good evening, It appears that the pixels only appear in the vcr mode. I can capture and then they do not show on the lcd monitor. I shot a two camera shoot at a wedding today, one being the gl2, I will run the tests tomarrow. If I recall the xl2 plays the tape without showing the pixels, but I will post the exact info tomarrow evening.
