XM2 to buy? Clips anyone?
Well my Sony TRV950 bit the dust a month ago, and I am just about to get some work in a month. I have the option of buying a a used XM2. Will the image quaility be comparable, better or worse than the TRV 950? Can I see any clips people have shot with the XM2?
Thank you all. Great forum. Ben |

The XM2 / GL2 has been on the market for years and years... you need only to search in order to find a copious amount of video clips available for downloading.

Hello Ben,
I aggree with Chris, the search function for this site is the key to knowledge! Here are some links to trailers of films I have shot with an XM2: http://www.justdessertsmovie.1go.dk/...20Trailer.html http://www.janssenherr.com/TheSalesman (shot with frame mode) http://janssenherr.com/Hamnden/Trailer.html http://www.janssenherr.com/Another%20Scale.html (shot with fake 16:9) I dont know whether I can help you decide what camera to shoot with. There is a test between theTrv900/950, the GL2 (XM2) and some other cameras here: http://www.bealecorner.com/trv900/trv950/images1.html http://www.dvinfo.net/canongl2/reports/gl2-bg1.php http://www.dvinfo.net/conf/showthread.php?t=3244 Cheers, Janssen Herr |

Thank you Chris and Jansen,
I found many articles and threads about the XM2. I think I will be buying the camera as the guy selling the camera is selling it for a rather good price. The image qualtiy looks good, and maybe better than the Sony Trv 950. Time willl tell!! Ben |
