No Recording or Playback
I was logging some footage on my GL2 that was shot on another camera. After shuttling through about 6 tapes I put in the 7th tape and hit rewind. The tape rewound all the way but the timecode never came up on the display. So naturally I thought it was a blank tape. The next tape did the exact same thing. When I put the tapes in I can tell they aren't rewound because the display notifiying how much tape is left is working. But after rewinding all the way through the tape the GL2 never notices a timecode.
Today I decided to try recording. Again the tape would roll but the timecode never engaged. When I tried to playback the footage in another camera there was nothing recorded. Any Ideas what went wrong? Ive shot maybe 15 hours and logged about 10 hours of footage on the camera in the last year. Supposedly the camera was given to me as a "New" replacement by Canon last fall. Thanks in advance...

Camera Repaired
I took the GL2 into the canon repair center in Irvine, and luckily at the end of my 1 year warranty they repaired the camera. Replaced some parts, (I forget exactly what right now), Free of Charge. The camera is working fine now and the repair was performed extremely quickly.
