xl1 remote for gl1?

will the xl1 or xl2 remote work on my gl1?
i lost my remote a while back and that is probably is my only option.
(unless someone gives me theres) also is there a universal remote that will do camcorders.
thanks

Sorry Nate - I wouldn't know.

I thought you were referring to a remote LANC controller. Then I could have helped you out. Interesting option - apart from putting your XM2 under shuttle/edit pressure?

Yes, the XL1 remote, WL-D2000 can control the GL1.

However, it is not a perfect match. The GL1 remote (WL-D73) does include some function buttons NOT found on the XL1 remote; i.e., A/V insert, audio dub, Zero set memory, and remote set, while the XL1 remote includes the job shuttle dial not on the GL1 remore. The XL1 remote is significantly larger.
