audio playback prob
GL2 won't play the audio of a DV tape recorded from another camera (pics fine)
BUT: this same DV tape played audio FINE in my camera a few months ago!! Since then it was at Canon for a zoom repair and when it came back all my presets and custom settings were gone. Looked thru the Ops Bk but see no menu that addresses playback options... help! Stu Aull Alaska |

Are you trying to download the video, or playback through a TV or VCR, or just playback in the camera?
If you're playing back in the camera, and the audio meters in the viewfinder are indicating the presence of audio, make sure the speaker isn't turned off via the thumb wheel at the back of the cam.

no audio playback
Thanks for replying!
no there is NO playback on the camera's meters. I took the DV tape to another business, and NONE of their cameras or decks play the sound either! I must conclude it has been erased, though I am trying to figure out how I did that!!?!? Fortunately I had dubbed off all the sound to my computer (and erased the tape at the same time?? Is that possible??) and can reconnect the files there - but very odd!! Thanks all Stu Aull Alaska |
