Viewfinder blackout
My reliable GL1 rear viewfinder went black. Dont know if this means a trip to Canon or if there is something I can do before I send it to Canon. Anybody else had this problem before And how did you solve it. Have a trip to Guatemala the 10th of January and I was hoping to take with me rather my my XL2. Happy New Years to All.

Does the LCD panel work? Does it turn off as the panel is closed (should turn on/off as the panel is almost closed)? If on all the time, it may be that the switch that senses panel positionis not functioning properly.
