Playback Help
Sorry in advance if this is a dumb question. I am wondering about an inexpensive solution for playback of my tapes. I don't use my GL2 for any professional endeavors, just to record our precious daughter's life. I currently use a tape rewinder to rewind the tapes, but still have to use the GL2 for playback. If I were to buy an inexpensive Mini-DV camera to just play back the tapes for digitizing purposes, would I take a 'quality hit' on the image? If not, what would you suggest I buy?
Thanks Steve |

No, an inexpensive DV cam will work just fine. The signal is being transfered digitally from one source to another. There should be no loss of quality at all.
I started using a sony minidv cam for playback, and now have upgraded to a dv deck. Tustin Larson |
