Re: Hand Strap came out of GL-2 camera body
I've had my share of problems, most of the time I've done my own GL2 repairs. I'm also one of those lucky ones to have acquired a service manual. The manual shows a breakdown of what Canon calls the left cover (yes, I know, when you hold the camera the strap is on the right side).
If you are mechanically inclined, and not all thumbs, with a set of jeweler's screwdrivers and some patients, you can probably fix the strap problem yourself. I don't have a camera on the bench at the moment, otherwise I'd give you a step by step procedure on how to remove the panels to get to the strap. If you are interested in doing the repairs and would like more info, contact me and I'll look into it for you. It's been months since I've had one of the GL2's torn down, just can't remember how the strap attached. You will probably notice some of my posts elsewhere on this forum, I'm not new to this. Hope I don't get spam from this, but you can contact me at emptech@yahoo.com Jim |
