How to remove microphone on XM-2 (repair-manual)?

I'm to use the XM-2 in an underwater-housing.

The housing is built so I can use the following lens configs:

The standard lens.
With an Optex 16/9 anamorphic.
or With an Century .55X WA adapter.

In order to make it work like this I need to remove some of or all the microphone from the handle.

Important ******
I still want the camcorder to work with top handle and using the zoom controller and REC button on the handle.

And it should still be able to record sound from the 1/8 inch mic in pin socket....
Important end *******

Can this be done?
If I have to damage the mic to be able to remove it I do not care much, but would like to be able to make it work laiter (if I shall sell it)....

I need access to the repair manual for the XM2 as soon as possible. Whole or part of it to be able to take off the mic or the whole for download.

Can anyone help me where to find downloadable file?

Best

Howdy from Texas,

All I can tell you with certainty, is that Canon service manuals are very closely guarded and are not made available to the general public. As far as I know, there is no such thing as a downloadable service document. I think your best chance is to contact Canon Europa directly and see if they can help you. Good luck,
