My new Canon Gl2 drops A Lot of frames
Hi. I just purchased a new canon gl2 and when i try to capture the video to my hardrive i drop about 2 out of 4 frames. This has never happened with any of my other sony cameras. I was wondering if there is something i don't know about this camera that is causing this. Quick help would be appreciated.
Thanks, Payam |

Need more information. What are you capturing with? What NLE? A breakout box? Normally, it's not the camera that 'drops frames' its the capturing device.

I'm using vegas 5 to capture the video. Its strange, because my sony vx2100 captures without dropping any frames, but the gl2 drops them which is why i was confused. The capture card seems to be working fine with other cameras.

And which/what capture card would this be? The problem is not with your
camera, but with your computer (hardware or software) or your firewire cable. Make sure your harddisks have DMA mode enabled in Windows and aren't on the same cable with some other device (like a CD/DVD drive/burner).
