XM2 for video conferencing ??
Hi guys,
Now I'm back at university on a fat connection, I'm wondering... Can I use my XM2 in conjunction with Microsoft Netmeeting or something like that, to send realtime video/audio across the web ? Anything I need to download? Would it be a simple case of plugging it into the firewire port and seeing if netmeeting recognised it (don't have time to test right now)? Thanks Alex

The XM2 is a rather expensive choice for a webcam... but I can see why you'd want to use it as such... your best bet is to go ahead and experiment and let us know what you find out... be sure to use the camera *without* a tape to avoid excessive head wear over long periods of operation.

haha
Yes, I agree an expensive choice, but seeing as I already have it I may as well put it to as wide a use as possible. I certaintly won't have a tape in it, but thanks for the heads up (no pun intended).
I will keep you informed, but I have a feeling I may need a video in port on my graphics card. Alex
